Low self-esteem is a resultant of inability of an individual to recognize self-worth and value their role in society, family or an institution. This may cause the individual to develop self-doubting behavior and gradually begin to resort to social withdrawal. The individual constantly seeks approval and validation from external sources and still remain unhappy or has a feeling of inadequacy. It has been observed that the roots of low-esteem goes back to childhood experiences and beliefs. In such cases, systematic counselling and therapies are provided for the client to overcome the issue. The client is equipped with techniques to change his beliefs and deal with his thoughts even after the therapy sessions are culminated.
