Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) is a form of psychotherapy that helps in identifying self-defeating thoughts and feelings, challenge the rationality of those feelings, and replace them with healthier, more productive beliefs. Once identified and understood, negative thoughts and actions can be changed and replaced with more positive and productive behaviour, allowing to develop more successful personal and professional relationships.

In Recovery-Focused Behaviour Therapy (RFBT) the client is presented with an imaginary scenario of perceived recovery and he/she is to conceptualize and demonstrate the behaviours preferably at action level which he/she would be emitting upon the desired and perceived recovery.
